Questions

Everything worth
asking first.

Including the answers that are not entirely in our favour. You are spending money on something you cannot hold, so you should know exactly what it is.

Licensing and use

What you are allowed to do with a video once you have bought it. The short answer is: use it everywhere your store markets itself, and nowhere else.

What am I actually buying for $25?

A license to use that video, branded with your logo, in your own store's marketing — for as long as you want, with no renewal and nothing to cancel.

You are not buying the video itself, in the same way that buying a book does not make you its author. The underlying footage stays ours and we go on licensing it. What is yours is the branded copy and the right to use it.

Where can I post it?

Anywhere your store speaks to customers. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, your own website, your Shopify listings, email newsletters, the screen in the window, a slide in a trunk show presentation.

Paid advertising is included. Run it as a Meta ad, a boosted post, a Google display campaign — no extra license and no extra fee.

Can I share it with another store?

No. The license covers the store that bought it. Passing files to a second location under different ownership, a friend's shop, a supplier who wants to use your content, or a buying group needs its own purchase — which is $25 and takes them four minutes.

If you own several stores under one company, that is one business and one license. Just tell us during checkout or drop us a line so it is on record.

Can I resell it or put it in something I sell?

No. You cannot sell, sub-license, or hand on the video as a file, and you cannot include it in a template pack, a course, a marketing service, or anything else you charge for. If you run an agency and want to use these for clients, get in touch — that is a different arrangement and a perfectly reasonable one.

Do I have to credit Jewel Reels?

No, and we would rather you did not. The whole point is that it looks like your store's content. No watermark, no credit line, no mention required anywhere.

What is the invisible fingerprint I keep reading about?

Every file we deliver carries a fingerprint tied to the account that bought it. It does not change how the video looks or plays, and nobody watching can see it.

It exists for one reason: if a video shows up on a page that never paid for it, we can tell which account it came from. That protects you far more than it protects us — you paid for content that should not be running in a competitor's feed.

How long does the license last?

Indefinitely. There is no expiry date, no renewal invoice, and no annual fee. A video you buy this Christmas is still yours to post next Christmas and the one after that.

Exclusivity

The question everybody asks second. Here is the honest position rather than a comfortable one.

Is a video exclusive to my store?

Not by default. The same video can be licensed to other stores, which is exactly why it costs $25 instead of $2,500.

In practice, no two copies are the same: your logo is burned into yours, in the position you chose, with your text. A customer scrolling past sees your store's video, not a stock clip.

Could the jeweler down the road end up with the same one?

It is possible, and we will not pretend otherwise. It is also less likely than it sounds — the catalog is large, it turns over with the seasons, and buyers naturally gravitate to different pieces.

If it genuinely matters to you, ask about exclusivity before you buy rather than after. We can take a video off sale in your area, or off sale entirely, for a one-off fee. Territory is defined properly in writing so there is no ambiguity later.

Can I buy a video outright?

Sometimes, depending on the piece. Send a request through the custom form telling us which video and what kind of exclusivity you want — your city, your state, or worldwide — and you will get a quote. Nothing is agreed until you accept it.

Is custom work exclusive?

Custom work is made for you and is not added to the public catalog. The exact terms — whether the footage can ever be reused in any form — are written into your quote before you approve it, so you know precisely what you are getting.

Formats, sizes and file details

What lands in your downloads folder, and whether it will play where you need it to.

What sizes do I get?

Four, named after where they get posted rather than by their geometry: Full screen for Reels and Stories, Feed portrait for feed posts, Square for the feed and product listings, and Wide for your website banner, Facebook cover and in-store screens.

You choose which ones you want for each video. Most stores take all four, because it means the same purchase covers every placement without cropping anything yourself.

What file format are they?

MP4, H.264 video with AAC audio — the format every platform, phone, browser and display system understands. Nothing exotic, nothing that needs a converter.

How big are the files?

Typically three to fifteen megabytes each, depending on length and how much movement is in the shot. A full set of four sizes for one video is usually under sixty megabytes, which downloads over a phone connection in seconds.

They are encoded to sit comfortably inside Instagram and Facebook upload limits, so nothing gets re-crushed on the way in.

How long are the videos?

Most run between six and fifteen seconds — the range that holds attention on a reel and loops cleanly. Each video's length is shown on its page before you buy.

Do they come with sound?

Some carry light ambient sound; many are silent by design. Either way you should add music inside Instagram or Facebook rather than baking it into the file, and there is a full guide explaining exactly why and exactly how.

Will they work on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Pinterest?

Yes. The Full screen 9:16 file is the correct shape for all three. We name the formats after Instagram and Facebook because that is where independent jewelers sell, but the files are not restricted to them.

Can I get a size that is not on the list?

Ask. If you need something for a specific screen — a shop window display, a particular billboard aspect — send a request and we will tell you whether it is possible from the source footage.

Delivery, downloads and changes

After the payment goes through.

How quickly do I get them?

Rendering starts the moment your payment clears and most orders finish inside ten minutes. A large bundle on a busy evening takes longer.

You do not have to wait on the page. We email you when everything is ready, and the files sit in your account whether you open that email or not.

Can I download them again later?

As many times as you like, forever, from any device. Sign in, open the order, download. Nothing expires and there is no window to miss.

Individual download links are short-lived for security, but you generate a fresh one every time with a single click — that is what the download button does.

I put my logo in the wrong place. Can it be fixed?

Yes, and it costs nothing. Every video you buy comes with three free re-renders. Open the order, move the logo, change the text, and a fresh set of files is built for you.

Three is a genuine allowance rather than a technicality — it is there for exactly this, and for the day you refresh your branding.

I changed my logo entirely. Do I have to buy everything again?

No. Upload the new logo, then use a re-render on any video you want updated. As long as you have re-renders left on that item, there is no charge.

Can you change the actual video — different stone, different metal?

Not as a re-render, no. Re-renders change your branding, not the footage. Anything that changes what is on screen is custom work, which starts with a quote.

Payment and refunds

Written plainly, including the parts that are not in your favour.

How much does it cost?

$25 per video, in every size you select — the sizes are not charged separately. Bundle discounts apply automatically as you add more to the cart, with no code to enter.

Is there a subscription?

No. There is nothing recurring, nothing to cancel and no minimum. Buy one video, or thirty, and come back whenever you feel like it.

How do I pay?

Card, through Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on our servers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits, nothing more.

What about sales tax?

Any tax we are required to collect is calculated at checkout and shown before you confirm. Your receipt itemises it for your books.

Do you give refunds?

If something is wrong on our side, absolutely. A file that will not play, a render that came out corrupted, the wrong video delivered, a duplicate charge — tell us and we will fix it or refund it, no argument and no restocking fee.

What we cannot do is refund a correctly delivered file because it did not perform the way you hoped, or because you changed your mind after downloading it. Delivery is instant and permanent, so every video is watermarked and playable in full before you spend anything. Watch it first.

Placement mistakes are not a refund matter — that is what the three free re-renders are for, and they cost you nothing.

Something went wrong and my order says failed

You are not charged for a render that fails. If a payment went through and the files never appeared, contact us with your order number and it is either re-rendered or refunded that day.

Logos and branding

Getting your store's name onto the video.

What kind of logo file do you need?

A transparent PNG at least 800 pixels wide, ideally bigger. The logo guide covers what works, what does not, and where to find the good version of your file if you cannot lay hands on it.

Can I store more than one logo?

Yes. Keep a white version and a color version, or separate marks for two locations, and pick per video. They stay on your account.

Can I add text as well?

Yes — a line under the logo for your city, phone number, website or a short tagline. You set it per video and see it before you pay.

Can I move the logo, or does it always go bottom-right?

Anywhere you like. Drag it, size it, and ease its opacity back if it feels too strong. The default keeps it inside the area that platform buttons and captions do not cover, which is worth respecting.

Custom work

When the catalog does not have the piece you need to sell.

Can you make a video of a specific ring?

That is what custom work is. Send photographs and a description of the piece, tell us the occasion and the feeling you are after, and you will get a quote back.

What does custom cost?

It depends entirely on the piece and the brief, so we quote rather than publish a price. You send the request, you receive a quote, and nothing goes into production until you have approved it in writing.

How long does custom work take?

The quote comes back quickly. Production time depends on the brief and is stated in the quote itself — if you have a hard deadline, put it in the form and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met before you commit to anything.

Do I pay before I see it?

You approve the quote first, and you see the work before it is finalised. Nothing is delivered — and nothing is expected of you — until you have seen it.

Music

Short section, important one.

Why is there no music library?

Because giving you tracks to bake into a video file is a good way to get your posts muted or your Page claimed against. Instagram and Facebook already license enormous catalogs and let you use them inside their apps — that is a far stronger position than any stock library could sell you, and it is free.

The full guide walks through both apps step by step. It takes about thirty seconds once you have done it twice.

Will my reel get muted if I add music your way?

Not for a licensing reason, no. You are posting under the platform's own license, so there is no claim to receive and no audio to strip. As a bonus, a track added in-app links your reel to that song's audio page, which is free extra reach.

Asked something we have not answered?

Send it over. A real person reads these, and if the answer is useful to other stores it ends up on this page.
